Queridos docentes:

I hereby want to thank you deeply your words of encouragement during the course of recent Mathematical Olympiads held at School No. 69 "Carrasco" the city of Rosario. Through Prof. Fabian Gomez could learn about their prayers so that everything runs as best as possible and for joining in this challenge narrowing the gap with their concerns, reflected, even on the website. We also want to take this opportunity to dedicate a special paragraph Math teacher Claudia Casas, who despite going through a period of recovery for its operation, generously opened her home to José Ignacio and Lucio, among others, could prepare for this event, giving their time and effort in an entirely disinterested, which shows his human qualities and his qualities as a teacher in the service of others. Despite not achieving the expected results, we believe the balance has been extremely positive, as we saw along this quote three Immaculate College students excited about this opportunity, solidarity among themselves, hopeful and happy to be participating of this Olympics that left them a lesson and memories.
Finally, we share with you and, through him, with the other members of the College who chairs, some concepts in the opening ceremony of the Olympics cited by the director of the host educational establishment, which, words, fewer words, could be summarized as follows:
I stop and think about the term Olympics going back to the time of the first Olympic Games in Greece, where it all began to compete in different disciplines. Today we summon these RHEA Mathematical Olympiads from a similar perspective, as these children who are present here do in their own right, having been surpassed in each of the stages to reach this provincial event that we are committed with such love. Because unlike the culture that is imposed from the "Tinelli-tion," where everything is banal and ephemeral, this call and we are proud that the protagonists are these children that we can show that also from a culture of effort , where the mathematics used to solve specific problems to wont, as those before us in real life too. Is that the future is here, where students feel the school as their own home, where schools are merged into one for a specific purpose, and they come to school to show their abilities, not a competitive urge, but growth, to "think" from mathematics, and that every obstacle will force them to get the best. Is that ultimately they become real and social builders, because learning to think from a young, mathematics allow them to open their minds to overcome every day.
The last weekend of 7th grade boys 57 were in camp on the island Mellado, 10 km south of Puerto de Santa Fe was accompanied by 12 parents, 2 teachers and 2 Jesuits.
The place does not have any service, so it was a total experience of contact with nature where the mill was vital in meeting basic needs.
Reflecting before the Lord, is at heart the good taste of what is shared and the depth of the experience.
In memory, gratifies the spirit of sacrifice and austerity to taste:
- Experience the lack of amenities in the sleep, hygiene, where to eat, basic needs, and of course the total absence of comfort;
- Expand the horizon of the people with whom we share everyday human activities, ie what we do in the privacy of the family, where we live closely with a larger circle where we had to learn to live with different parents and different partners;
- The opening not only the closest friends, but to the universality of the boys and some of his relatives.
- Cute fatigue shared intense activity;
This spirit of sacrifice is a powerful reality that surely will leave our children for a lifetime, a special richness in the depths of existential backpack. This "exercise" to leave a strength that is needed to form a magnanimous character full of strength and self-control when it comes to being a "man for others", whether in the family or wider social.
The group of parents, teachers and Jesuits we evaluated, in a lovely evening by the fire, the presence of parents in the camp gave a tasty spice to the experience.
Thank you very much is to give personal encounters did know and value most, discover the depth and richness within each one, the simplicity, the ability to deliver in that situation-not-extreme. It is to thank the capacity to come together to make these little happy and provide more tools in their training. It is to thank the capacity to serve in the middle of the minute fatigue became more tenacious. It is to give thanks that space which allows us adults to be kids again and enjoy the simple things that children enjoy.
It is to ask, in the heart of what meaning children have this experience in future recall that "a few dads armed camp on the island, perhaps the most emblematic that we had?"
We thank the parents who joined this meaningful experience
