Strategic Plan

Based on the diagnosis made during April to June 2010, involving levels of the educational community, the Board of the College of the Immaculate Conception proposes the following strategic plan, an instrument open and constantly updated to guide and redirect the lines institutional work to fulfill the mission entrusted by the Society of Jesus.

The strategic plan for the period August 2010 - December 2012 focuses on four dimensions: pastoral, teaching, teacher training, parent training.

I. - Pastoral

a. - Service Learning Project

It is a space for our students to make contact with different realities:

  • be aware of areas of Humanity needs are sometimes not taken into account
  • to assess what from God and our family, ETC.
  • to be sensitive to every need,
  • for training in the ability to enhance and transform society creatively integrating all the heart, and including them in personal life projects.

Be implemented from academic year 2011. And curriculum will be mandatory. Periods will be evaluated by established conceptual rated, taking into account assistance. We begin with some preparation from the area of ​​Catechesis / Religious Education and also from other curricular areas.

Families will accompany the students on these experiences.

Initial Level

It is proposed together with a spiritual work of Ignatian prayer regularly.

Will be instantiated to share experiences of encounters with other needy gardens, three times a year.

Primary Level

It is accompanied by a spiritual journey of knowledge Ignatian prayer of Jesus.

1st to 5th grade: It is proposed to continue sharing experiences with groups of students from disadvantaged schools. You will have an intensity of three to five activities in the year meeting.

6th grade: We will share experiences with blind children in the space of Immaculate Ateneo swimming. Work is expected to approach the world in preparation for non-sighted. Each student will have a workload of two hours per month.

7th grade: sports activities will be shared with hearing impaired children. Work is expected to approach the world in preparation for hearing impaired with an introduction to sign language. Each student will have a workload of two hours per month.

Secondary Level

C ach year spiritual preparation will gradually according to the different moments of the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius and articulated with religious education.

From 1st to 3rd year will have a workload of two hours per month, while in 4th and 5th year, the load will be two hours a week.

1st year: PILGRIMS call and provides a service to children.

2nd year, is called the server and provides a service to the elderly.

3rd year: Cyrene and is expected to call a service to the world of children and youth with special needs.

4th and 5th year: Emmaus and MAGIS, respectively, and provides a service in the containment center for children in the Chapel of Our Lady of Miracles in High Green.

It also gives the choice to students in 4th and 5th year other options:

  • MEJ. Friday afternoon.
  • CATECHIST parish. Follow-up by school personnel.
  • Accompany students in the primary service.
  • WORK CREW (painting, repairs, materials, etc.).. Working days with an average of 8 hours. Monthly.
  • MISSION accompanying the apostolic work in Alto Verde, with preparation and activities throughout the year.

II .- Pedagogical

a. - sequencing of content and articulation in various disciplines

Teaching teams composed of representatives of the three levels developed a sequencing program content and procedures of each discipline in order to improve the learning path of our students.

The areas of Language, Mathematics, Physical Educ and Catechesis will have available the sequence of contents and procedures from February 2011.

Areas of Natural and Social Sciences will be available to the sequencing of content and procedures in December 2011.

b. - General Educational Transformation through the incorporation of ICTs (Information and Communication)

Through the active use of the College web site aims to digitize communications to make them effective and fluid.

In addition, teachers will be trained by management experiences in the virtual world of teaching-learning process to implement and / or progressively incorporate virtual tools in the classroom work.

c. - Incorporation of Addiction Prevention Plan

It aims to strengthen the formation of free personality, able to live without addictions.

Be implemented from academic year 2011 at all three levels. Teachers will be trained to articulate the plan across all disciplines or areas.

III .- Teacher training

E n our school are encouraged to train teachers in the teaching of specific disciplines and the training and necessary.

In our school also raised the need for training in Ignatian spirituality, wealth received through San Ignacio which is the hallmark of Jesuit colleges. Is specified through the following actions:

  • continues with the theological training of teachers
  • implemented training in Ignatian pedagogy from February 2011 with talks and practical work virtual, and
  • proposes a path of spirituality throughout the year for all staff.

IV .- Parent Training Area

The Association of Parents of the College of the Immaculate Conception - APACI-propose an annual training program on human and spiritual aspects for families, to be implemented from the year 2011
